What is SERIDA?
SERIDA is a public body of the Principality of Asturias with its own legal personality, created through Asturian Law 5/1999, which aims to contribute to the modernization and improvement of the capacities of the regional agri-food sector by fomenting and carrying out agri-food technological research and development in order to achieve improvements in productivity, sector diversification and increased returns on primary assets.
Since the Regional Government of the Principality of Asturias took over competences in agricultural research, the Regional Service for Agri-food Research and Development (SERIDA) has led agricultural and food research programmes.
